Need a scissor lift for work at height? VRental provides scissor lifts for rent in Dubai and across the UAE, with options for different working heights, access requirements and project environments. Our current fleet covers working heights from 8m to 16m, including 8m, 10m, 12m, 14m and 16m machines. These lifts can support a range of work including MEP installation, warehouse maintenance, commercial fit-out, facility maintenance and suitable construction requirements. Browse the available scissor lifts below. If you already know the height you need, you can compare the available models directly. If you don’t, send us your work height, site location and basic access details and we’ll help you narrow down the options.
For the archive itself, customer-facing cards should be short and specification-led.
Access and lifting equipment for construction, maintenance and industrial projects across the UAE.
The right scissor lift depends heavily on where the machine will be used. For indoor work, electric scissor lifts are commonly selected for suitable warehouses, commercial properties, facility-management work and MEP installations. Their compact dimensions can also be important where the machine needs to pass through restricted access points before reaching the work area. Outdoor and construction environments can require a different type of machine. Rough-terrain scissor lifts are designed for more demanding site conditions and are commonly considered where outdoor access, ground conditions and project requirements call for a more robust machine. Choosing between the two should therefore start with the site, not simply the maximum height of the lift.
Most customers begin with one question: how high do we need to work?
That’s a good starting point, but it isn’t enough on its own. A 12m lift may provide the height you need but still be unsuitable if access to the work area is restricted, the available operating space is limited or the site conditions don’t suit that particular machine. Before choosing a scissor lift, check these six things.
Confirm how high your team actually needs to work.
Check entrances and routes leading to the working area.
Consider the people, tools and materials going up.
Tell us whether the lift will operate indoors or outdoors.
Consider the surface where the machine will be positioned.
Confirm when you need the lift and for how long.
VRental’s scissor lift fleet gives customers several height options instead of forcing different jobs onto one size of machine.
A useful starting point for lower-level access requirements where the job does not require one of the taller machines in the fleet.
An option for projects that need additional vertical access while remaining below the working range of the larger 12m–16m machines.
VRental has several models in the 12m range, giving customers more options for maintenance, installation and project requirements around this working height.
For jobs that exceed the 12m range and require additional vertical access, the fleet includes dedicated 14m options.
The highest scissor-lift working-height class currently available in the VRental fleet for projects requiring greater vertical access.
Scissor lifts make the most sense when the work area can be approached from directly below. The platform travels vertically, giving technicians a stable working area for themselves, tools and materials. That makes them particularly useful for installation and maintenance work where horizontal outreach isn’t the main requirement.
Vertical access for mechanical, electrical and overhead installation work.
Reach racking, lighting and elevated warehouse maintenance areas.
Access ceilings, services and elevated areas for planned maintenance.
Platform access for ceiling, lighting and fit-out installation work.
Equipment for recurring maintenance and elevated building-service requirements.
Vertical access for suitable installation, finishing and project-site tasks.
This is one of the most useful questions to answer on the archive because customers don’t always know which access platform they need. A scissor lift moves primarily straight upward. It is a practical choice when technicians can position the machine below the work and need a working platform at height. A manlift provides greater flexibility in positioning the basket upward and outward. It can be more appropriate when the work area is offset from the machine or an obstacle prevents direct vertical access. So don’t choose simply by comparing maximum heights.
For indoor maintenance, MEP, warehouse and commercial projects, getting the machine to the work area can be just as important as reaching the required height. Check the entrances, doorways and other access points the machine needs to pass through. Consider the floor and available operating space once it reaches the work area as well. If the site has restricted access, send us the access dimensions together with the required working height. That gives us more useful information than simply asking for a “12m scissor lift.”
Outdoor projects introduce a different set of considerations. The working surface, available space, access route and surrounding site conditions should be checked before a machine is selected. A scissor lift that provides enough height isn’t automatically suitable for every outdoor location. Tell us where the machine will operate and what the site is like. If necessary, send photographs of the working area with your enquiry so the requirement is easier to understand.
VRental provides scissor lift rental in Dubai and across the UAE for businesses, contractors and project teams requiring temporary access equipment. Rental enquiries can be supported for projects in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and other UAE locations, subject to equipment availability and project requirements. Whether you need an 8m machine for a lower access requirement or a 16m option for higher work, send us the project details rather than choosing from height alone. We’ll use the working height, location, site access and type of work to help narrow down the available options.
Our current fleet covers 8m, 10m, 12m, 14m and 16m working-height classes, with different models available within several of those ranges.
Start with the actual height at which your team needs to work. Then consider site access, operating space, floor or ground conditions and what needs to go onto the platform.
A suitable model may be used for indoor applications such as MEP work, warehouse maintenance, commercial fit-out and facility maintenance. The machine and site requirements should be checked before rental.
Suitable equipment can support outdoor work, but site conditions matter. The working surface, access, available operating space and specific machine should be considered before selection.
If the work is mainly directly above the machine, a scissor lift may be suitable. If the platform needs to reach outward or around an obstruction, look at the manlift options instead.
Yes. VRental supports rental enquiries across the UAE, subject to equipment availability and the requirements of the project.
